Duemilaquattro – Espresso with Jamaica Blue Mountain

The founding year of Espresso International, 2004, gives this first proprietary blend its name: Duemilaquattro.

This roast was created in collaboration with our partner La Genovese and combines high-quality, aromatically complex Arabicas with 20% strong Robusta. The blend is refined with 5% Jamaica Blue Mountain, which adds a silky sweetness and special depth. The flavor profile is rounded off by a dense, finely grained crema.

Medium roast, classically Italian roasted, with a pleasant low acidity.

Profile and character
Duemilaquattro presents itself with notes of milk chocolate, hazelnut, caramel, and roasted almonds. In the background, hints of dried fruit, red apple, apricot, and a touch of vanilla and honey unfold – elegantly supported by the Jamaica Blue Mountain accent.

The body is full and silky, with almost imperceptible acidity. As an espresso, the blend is clear and balanced with a fine structure. Even with milk, the nutty chocolate flavor remains distinctive. The finish is long-lasting, harmonious, and subtly fruity.

Why Italian roasting?
We have been working with top Italian roasters since 2004. For our first in-house roast, an experienced partner like La Genovese was the only choice.

Just 5% is enough to elevate this espresso from very good to exceptional.

Kenon Caramel 100% Arabica

This traditional Neapolitan dark roast produces an espresso coffee with low acidity and low caffeine content, which impresses with its intense flavor and full body. Five different Arabica varieties are carefully and gently roasted for the blend to bring out the full potential of each bean.

Kenon Caramel combines selected Arabica beans from Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Brazil with 5% high-quality Jamaica Blue Mountain. This composition creates a particularly complex aroma and taste experience.

Kenon attaches great importance to quality and maintains close partnerships with coffee farmers to ensure that only the best beans are selected. The renowned Jamaica Blue Mountain comes from the fertile highlands of Jamaica and captivates with its gentle fruit notes, full-bodied flavor, and velvety texture, which give the blend its unmistakable sophistication.

The dark roast brings out a pleasant sweetness and rich aromas and ensures a balanced acidity. The taste is dominated by notes of roasted caramel, fine chocolate, and a subtle fruity sweetness.
