Our Interpretation of the Perfect Espresso

2004 – the founding year of Espresso International. Now, 21 years later, this number lives on in the name of our very first signature espresso blend: Duemilaquattro.

Created in collaboration with our exclusive partner and premium roaster La Genovese, this espresso brings together everything we love about coffee. At its heart: complex, refined Arabicas, supported by 20% top-quality Robusta beans—bold, but never overpowering. This harmonious pairing is enhanced by 5% Jamaica Blue Mountain, adding silky sweetness and depth. The result is a beautifully layered bouquet of aromas, structured with finesse and crowned by a dense, finely marbled crema.

Medium roast, classic Italian style, pleasantly low in acidity.

Tasting Notes

Up front, you'll notice milk chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel, carried by a base of roasted almond. Then, subtle notes of dried fruit emerge – red apple and apricot, with a touch of vanilla and honey rounding out the profile. A hint of Jamaica Blue Mountain adds refined sweetness and an elegant lift.

The body is full, silky, and balanced. A very low-acid coffee, with clean, pleasantly mild bitter notes. As an espresso, Duemilaquattro is precise and clear, with a dense texture. Even in milk drinks, the chocolate and nut notes remain bold and expressive. The long, smooth finish brings caramel, roasted almond, and honey, with a whisper of fruit – elegant, lingering, and remarkably harmonious.

Kenon Caffè Karamell

This traditional Neapolitan dark roast delivers a low-acidity espresso with reduced caffeine, yet boasts intense flavor and a full body. Crafted from five distinct Arabica varieties, each bean is carefully and gently roasted to bring out its unique characteristics.

Kenon Caramel blends select Arabica beans from Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Brazil, rounded off with 5% exquisite Jamaica Blue Mountain. The result is an espresso with a rich aroma and complex flavor profile.

Kenon is deeply committed to quality, maintaining close relationships with coffee farmers to ensure only the finest beans are selected. The renowned Jamaica Blue Mountain comes from the lush highlands of Jamaica and is prized for its subtle fruit notes, full-bodied character, and velvety texture—adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the blend.

The dark roast imparts a pleasant sweetness, rich aromas, and balanced acidity. Flavor notes include roasted caramel, fine chocolate, and a hint of fruity sweetness.

Passaparola Leggenda 

Inspired by the rich espresso culture of Naples, Leggenda stands for exceptional coffee pleasure. This refined blend unites premium Arabica beans sourced from the world’s finest growing regions.

Made from 100% Arabica, including 5% rare Jamaica Blue Mountain, these beans come from South and Central America, Africa, Asia, and India. Carefully dark roasted, they deliver an espresso experience of remarkable elegance and depth.

The harmonious flavor profile delights with soft macadamia nuttiness, delicate tonka bean sweetness, and a hint of floral honey — a true treat for connoisseurs.

This pure Arabica blend produces a golden-brown, fine crema and a velvety mouthfeel. Its mild acidity and balanced intensity make Leggenda ideal for enjoying as a pure espresso, cappuccino, or latte macchiato.
