The “Arcà Latte” line by Tumminello is a limited-edition collection of decorative tins that changes every year. As with previous editions, this one also pursues a clear goal: to bring joy of life and vibrant colors to the dining table—a delight that only the typical colors, shapes, and motifs of Sicily can convey.

With the “Arcà Latte” line, Tumminello also aims to highlight Sicilian artists who have chosen to remain and work in their homeland. Each year, a new artist is therefore given the opportunity to design the exclusive decorative tins. This year’s result comes from the Sicilian artist Mauro Fornasero, who was born in the city of Caltanissetta.

The name and graphics of this tin are inspired by classical mythology. Artist Fornasero chose to interpret Apollo, the god of the sun. The design is therefore characterized by warm, bright, and intense colors.

The contents, like the exterior, are shaped by light, warmth, and Sicilian tradition. Four exquisite, lovingly filled shortcrust biscuits come together here to create an irresistible delight: Cosi chini with dried figs and almonds, Zuccotti with almonds and candied pumpkin, biscuits filled with mandarin and almonds, and biscuits filled with pistachio and lemon. Made from carefully selected ingredients, Tumminello biscuits guarantee not only outstanding flavor but also the authenticity of a traditional product. They are handcrafted in Castelbuono—a medieval town in the Madonie Mountains of Sicily. Here, a family-run artisanal workshop has, over the years, grown into a small company. Each individual pastry is created by hand with great care, preserving old traditions and using the highest-quality regional ingredients. A passion for baking, passed down from generation to generation, plays a central role. The result is authentic, delicious biscuits that revive the original flavors of times past.

Filled pastry with pistachio and candied lemon

DOUGH: Wheat flour, butter, sugar, pasteurized egg yolk, fresh eggs, salt, natural flavorings, raising agents: disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate.

FILLING (19% of total weight): Chopped roasted Sicilian pistachios (equivalent to 5% of the total product), candied lemon peel (equivalent to 4.5% of the total product) (lemon peel, glucose–fructose syrup, sugar), sugar, chopped Sicilian almonds (equivalent to 2% of the total product), fruit purée (pumpkin, oranges, citron, pear, glucose–fructose syrup, sugar, flavorings, preservative: sulfur dioxide (residual)), wildflower honey, pistachio paste, lemon essential oil, natural flavorings, alcohol, sweetener: sorbitol, thickener: locust bean gum.

Mandarin-filled sweets

DOUGH: Wheat flour, butter, sugar, pasteurized egg yolk, fresh eggs, salt, natural flavorings, mandarin essential oil, raising agents: disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate.

FILLING (18.7% of total weight): Chopped Sicilian almonds (5.9% of total weight), candied mandarin paste (4.6% of total weight) (mandarin peel, glucose–fructose syrup, sugar), sugar, vegetable purée (pumpkin, oranges, citron, pear, glucose–fructose syrup, sugar, flavorings, preservative: sulfur dioxide (residual)), wildflower honey, mandarin essential oil, alcohol, natural flavorings, sweetener: sorbitol, thickener: locust bean gum.

Biscuits filled with Sicilian almonds

DOUGH: Wheat flour, butter, sugar, pasteurized egg yolk, fresh eggs, salt, natural flavorings, raising agents: disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate.

FILLING (24% of total weight): Chopped Sicilian almonds (8% of total weight), vegetable purée (7.6% of total weight) (pumpkin, oranges, citron, pear, glucose–fructose syrup, sugar, flavorings, preservative: sulfur dioxide (residual)), sugar, wildflower honey, Maraschino liqueur, cinnamon, natural flavorings, sweetener: sorbitol, thickener: locust bean gum.

Biscuits filled with figs

DOUGH: Wheat flour, butter, sugar, fresh eggs, raising agents: disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate; salt, natural flavorings.

FILLING: Dried figs (10% of total weight), apricot purée (glucose–fructose syrup, apricot purée, sugar; thickener: pectin with sodium pyrophosphate and sodium alginate; acidity regulators: citric acid and calcium citrate; preservative: potassium sorbate; coloring: paprika extract; flavorings), chopped Sicilian almonds (equivalent to 6% of total weight), sultanas, chocolate chips (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soy lecithin), Marsala wine, wildflower honey, coffee, alcohol, cinnamon. Sweetener: sorbitol.

DECORATION: Candied orange slices (sliced orange peel, glucose–fructose syrup, sugar, natural flavoring, ascorbic acid). Granulated sugar. Royal icing (egg white, sugar).
