Mokaffè Espresso Coffee | Quarta Caffè

Mokaffè is another brand of Quarta Caffè. The roastery was founded more than sixty years ago by Gaetano Quarta. As is often the case in Italy, it all started with a small drum roaster in a bar in the historic center of Lecce. Even then, Gaetano focused on quality and roasted each type of bean separately in the drum roaster.

Slowly but steadily, the fame grew beyond the city limits. The demand grew and so did the requirements. Soon Quarta Caffè was the most popular and most drunk coffee in the region. Thanks to its inimitable aroma and taste, it outstripped the competition.

In the 1970s, with the beginning of ever-improving technical possibilities, Quarta moved from the center of Lecce to the industrial area. The roastery modernized at the right time, switching from a coal-fired roaster to a larger and technically better roaster. This allowed Quarta Caffè to successfully meet the high demand.

The company premises extend over 12,000 m². Over 70,000 bags of green coffee are processed there annually. By regularly renewing its roasting facilities, Quarta Caffe always remains at the cutting edge of technology and is thus equipped to meet the demands of the growing market.

Nowadays, the two sons (Edoardo and Gaetano Quarta) continue the father's passion. Quarta Caffè stands for quality and passion in Italy and is one of the best roasting companies in Italy.

The roastery from the sunny, southern Italian Lecce spoils every connoisseur with first-class coffee quality.
