The beans for this blend come from South America, Africa, and Asia. The best beans are selected from each batch, refined by variety and finally combined to create this exquisite blend. Owner Matteo Trucillo personally takes care of the procurement and processing of the raw beans for the Premium Line. The roasting takes place gently and slowly in a drum roaster. Single-origin roasting is so important because each bean variety has its own characteristics and requirements. Individual roasting prevents large green coffee beans from being roasted through and small, fine pearl beans from being burnt. But this effort is made with pleasure at Trucillo. After all, customers shouldn't get a product that is only "good", but excellent. In 2020 the roastery celebrated its 70th anniversary. The long-standing cooperation with trustworthy green coffee traders guarantees consistently impeccable quality.
The result of this elaborate and passionate work is ultimately reflected in the cup. The Gusto Bar is determined by its full body and hazelnut brown texture. South American Arabica give the aromatic notes of spices and dried fruits. Robustas from Africa and Central Asia give that certain cocoa kick and at the same time a wonderful creaminess. The interplay of all aromas and properties in the cup, including a lush crema, makes this espresso unforgettable. A pleasure as it is in the book.
