1922 Marziali Caffè
250g bag of beans
Created to mark the 100th anniversary of the historic Marziali roasting tradition, the 1922 espresso is a tribute to a century of passion, craftsmanship and Italian coffee culture.
Located in the heart of Rome, Marziali Caffè is a small, highly respected family roastery with deep roots in the city’s coffee heritage. Founded by Leone Marziali, the roastery quickly became a meeting place for coffee lovers and artists. Even renowned actors from the nearby “La Fenice” theatre enjoyed the master roaster’s creations after their performances. Over time, the Marziali family expanded their cafés throughout Rome and established their espresso beyond the city’s borders.
The 1922 blend represents the full expertise of this traditional roastery. Five carefully selected Arabica varieties from Central and South America create an exceptional espresso experience. Slowly extracted, it develops a rich, creamy flow and a dense, structured hazelnut-coloured crema.
Its flavour profile begins with elegant notes of chocolate and almond, followed by delicate fruity accents that unfold with every sip. From pear and subtle cherry to hints of pineapple, the aromatic complexity of this espresso makes every cup a new discovery.
The five selected coffee origins:
- Brazil – Gusto Antico (Natural)
- Ethiopia – Sidamo Guji (Washed)
- India – Plantation (Washed)
- Nicaragua – SHG Cavallino (Washed)
- Peru – Finca Salcedo (Washed)
A true expression of tradition meeting innovation, Marziali 1922 remains a hidden gem outside Italy, while in Rome it has long been appreciated in renowned cafés and bars.
